TI History on Radio
by Terry Laughlin

On Oct 31, 10 days into my recent 5-week visit to TI coaches and swimmers in Asia I was interviewed on the Passion People radio program in Singapore. Some of the topics covered include:

  • How I became passionate about swimming in my early teens when I realized it offered problem-solving opportunity.
  • What I noticed about my swimmers on my first day as a coach in 1972.
  • Why I had to help others swim better before I could help myself.
  • Why TI’s advocacy of feeling good – instead of feeling pain – faced resistance.
  • My most rewarding moment in 38 years as a coach.
